DONALD SWENSON: Chief Scientist.
Donald Swenson is the inventor of the RFD and RFI Linac. He has devoted
his career to the design and development of linear accelerators. Active
in the filed for over 40 years and recognized as one of its top
experts, he designed and built the first RFQ in the Western world.
During his 20 years at Los Alamos National Laboratory, he initiated
numerous innovations and developments enhancing nearly every form of RF
driven linear accelerator. His creativeness has resulted in 14 patents
for accelerator and beam diagnostic systems. In addition to his 27
years in national laboratories, Dr. Swenson also has experience in the
commercial world having worked for SAIC and also taught at Texas
A&M as a professor of physics.
JOEL STARLING: Chief Engineer.
Joel joined Linac Systems, LLC in 1997. He has led the development of
the commercialization efforts: from prototype to commercial beta
products. Prior to Linac Systems, LLC, Joel worked at Lockheed Martin
on the F-22 project and at the SSC laboratory as a Program Manager. He
also worked as a Senior Engineer at General Dynamics and Grumman.
BARBARA SWENSON:
Barbara is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and run multiple
companies. She has served as President of Linac Systems since its
founding. She oversees all business and project management duties.
JIM HALE:
Jim brings technology commercialization and business acumen to Linac
Systems. Having spent his past six years on staff at Technology
Ventures Corporation, assisting in building technology companies along
side private equity firms. Jim oversees the business development
activities at Linac Systems.
RICARDO BARRERA:
Ricardo overseas all the control system electronics for Linac Systems.
Prior to joining Linac, he oversaw embedded oscilloscope projects for
ZTEC instruments. He holds a B.S. degree in E.E. from UNM.
CARL WILLIS:
Carl oversees Lithium Target development for Linac Systems. Carl is
completing his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics at Ohio State University.
JOE SHERMAN:
Joe Sherman overseas the ion source systems for Linac Systems. He spent
the majority of his career at Los ALamos National Laboratory. He earned
his Ph.D
