RF Cavity Analysis Capability

Linac Systems has extensive capabilities for rf cavity analysis utilizing the 2D SUPERFISH code (by Los Alamos) and the 3D SOPRANO code (by Vector Fields). Some examples of recent results from the SOPRANO code for RFI and RFQ linac structures are shown below.

In addition, we have a microwave cavity measurement capability utilizing a HP Network Analyzer together with a Bead Perturbation setup.

Often, we find it advantageous to augment 2D and 3D rf calculations with 2D and 3D electrostatic calculation utilizing the Charge-2D and Charge-3D codes.
